Equity & Excellence in Education Parent Support Program

The Columbia Urban League provides parents, guardians, or any

adult concerned about the academic performance of a young

person in Title One schools throughout the state of South Carolina,

with support to unite, educate, empower, and uplift through

education, support, and awareness for the betterment of their

child's success.

The Issue:

​​

COVID-19 revealed and magnified the persistent disparities

between different races and income groups. The pandemic has

forced disadvantaged students into the least desirable learning

situations with inadequate tools and support systems to navigate

them. As a result, the achievement gap widened.

What We Do:

support, and awareness for the betterment of their child's success.
